: The Senior Registered Radiology Technologist performs medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician.

Shift Details: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Unit/Location: Primary Children\xe2\x80\x99s Hospital at the new Lehi Campus coming in early 2024!

The Lehi Campus will be a full-service children\'s hospital providing the specialty pediatric services of our Salt Lake campus, with the exclusions of transplant and heart surgery. The new 5-story, 66-bed Primary Children\xe2\x80\x99s Hospital campus will provide trauma and emergency services, behavioral health, intensive care, and surgical and clinic services not available elsewhere in Utah County.

Job Essentials:

Ensures proper patient identification, verifies orders, and prepares patients for exams.

Uses proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality diagnostic exams.

Demonstrates the ability to perform any exam on all ages of patients (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics) using appropriate protocol and following ACR guidelines.

Demonstrates proficiency on all clinical equipment within the department.

Completes and annotates a medically acceptable exam, following ACR guidelines while producing the maximum diagnostic information in a minimal amount of time.

Follows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting any events that may occur, for quality, maintaining a current QC program for ACR and reporting any equipment failures or problems.

Exhibits good safety practices in body substance protection, cleaning of equipment, using proper sterile techniques, and removing any expired materials.

Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage.

Minimum Qualifications:

ARRT registration.

Current Rad Tech License in the State of Utah.

Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.

Three years of experience in a variety of diagnostic areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

IV Certification.

Five years of experience in a variety of diagnostic areas.

Leadership experience.

Experience working with children.

Physical Requirements:

Carrying, Hearing/Listening, Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pushing/Pulling, Seeing, Speaking, Standing, Walking.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $33.39 - $51.52
