Position Summary

Responsible for the development, production and maintenance of financial and operational reports. Assists in making data related decisions by constructing, maintaining, organizing, validating, analyzing and reporting on data regularly. Analyze, provide specification for, and write reports to satisfy consumers and enterprise reporting needs. Responsible for communicating this knowledge with others at various levels of technical sophistication.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, provides specification for, and writes reports to satisfy consumers and enterprise reporting needs.
  • Assists in back-end development of reporting platform for production and distribution of all reports and tools as well as responsibility of coordinating distribution of standard reports.
  • Assists in development and maintenance of data used to measure current operations including designing queries and developing reports using various tools to meet reporting needs.
  • Assists in the development and distribution of ad-hoc reports. Collects appropriate data documentation, prepares all relevant supporting worksheets and schedules for review with senior management.
  • Identifies queries and reports to assist in managing the operations. In addition, will analyze the data to identify and communicate data validity concerns, issues and questions.
  • Supports operations for the PO Business office, PO Practice Operations and Clinical departments as it relates to Epic operational reporting.
  • Works with leadership to determine and employ adequate and secure distribution strategies for all data queries and reports.
  • Writes, designs and develops reports in SQL, Access, Excel as they relate to system data models, and the functions, capabilities, and data sets of related applications.
  • Provides database solutions to answer ad-hoc requests for information. Utilizes consistent process of report development. Runs data integrity checks and maintains catalogue of queries and views used by the organization.
Education
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in related field
Experience

Approximately 4-5 years of experience in an analytical role. Working knowledge of relational database architecture, tables and datasets (Access/SQL). Advanced Excel spreadsheet application experience required (VLookups, Pivot Tables, etc.) Experience with conducting analysis along with working knowledge of health care revenue cycle events. Knowledge of Epic Practice management is helpful.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Structured Query Language (SQL) required.

  • Advocates within the organization(s) for the projects to which you are assigned and the business and strategic goals they are intended to meet.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop proficiency with unfamiliar toolsets is required.
  • Attention to detail, patience, and a positive, customer centric attitude are required.
  • Information systems background with experience in using Crystal Business Object, Cognos, MS office products, MS SQL server as it relates to reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills are required.
