SUMMARY

In this role, the Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer will join the AGI (Ansys Government Initiatives) IT Infrastructure team and will be responsible for maintaining and improving AGI s Active Directory Services Infrastructure, VMWare virtualization, Pure Storage management and infrastructure resilience while working with the Infrastructure Team to implement new projects and architecture upgrades to help enhance the IT environment (including automation via scripts). All of these should be supported with a high level of of automation to increase efficiency and consistency. This individual is expected to operate at a senior level and own the areas listed above, which includes being able to clearly present and communicate challenges, opportunities, and projects for their area of responsibility. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and improve Microsoft Active Directory Services, Privilege management / RBAC, Group Policy, Windows Servers / desktop OS, and security.
  • Automate tasks through scripting technologies
  • Support execution of Information Technology infrastructure projects to support Business growth and security compliance.
  • Support IT infrastructure level 3 support / triage and maintenance where necessary.
  • Support and manage the VMWare virtualization and storage (Pure) infrastructure to meet and exceed development operations growth expectations. Define templates and reporting to implement standards for capacity utilization.
  • Support and manage enterprise backup operations including warm copy and cold / offsite backups.
  • Support and manage data center operations encompassing power management / UPS, cabling, PDUs, storage, file services (SMB / NFS), servers, networking, equipment racking and cooling operations.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, impact analysis and business continuity planning. Support disaster recovery annual test and gap analysis documentation.
  • Ensure proper uniformity, documentation, and configuration control of technology platform, processes, and projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor s degree in Information Systems (or related field) with 5 years of experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
  • Competent with a proven history working with Windows Desktops (10 / 11) and Servers (2016 and newer), and Linux Servers
  • Competent with a proven history working with Active Directory, DNS, DFS, File Services and Print Services.
  • Experience with IT security, certificates/ PKI, vulnerability, and patch management.
  • Experience with Azure or AWS based environments and solutions.
  • Able to write custom and complex scripts, as well as maintain existing scripts with source control (PowerShell preferred)
  • Competent with managing and maintaining virtual infrastructure and storage. Experience with PURE storage solutions.
  • Experience with backup solutions and Disaster Recovery.
  • Full technology stack understanding for troubleshooting (network, storage, infrastructure (servers), cloud, applications, etc.).
  • Able to document work performed for cross pollination and repeatability.
  • Able to present and plan projects, problems, and challenges for the area of responsibility. Ability to execute projects based upon charter and requirements.
  • Motivated and energetic team player.
  • Able to work independently and own tasks to completion.
  • Ability to work on-site in Exton, PA.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a United States (US) Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Security Clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active TS/SCI Security clearance.
  • Experience working with Linux (CentOS/RHEL preferred)
  • Experience supporting data center operations.
  • Experience working with network hardware (switches and routers).
  • Experience working with firewalls and VPNs.
