THE FLATIRON HOTEL This city\xe2\x80\x99s current wave of culinary offerings are unmatched, and The Flat Iron offers testament to its new heritage of craftsmanship. The 71 room Flat Iron Hotel is an adaptive re-use of Asheville, North Carolina\xe2\x80\x99s iconic, downtown landmark, the Flat Iron building which was erected in 1927. The new hotel within the historic Flat Iron will also include a restaurant/cafe, rooftop, speakeasy, banquet space, and shared work space. SERVER In the world of foodie\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x93 you utterly enjoy studying and offering a mouthwatering detailed explanation of each dish. As a Server, you strive to make each interaction an unforgettable one, having your guests\xe2\x80\x99 running back for more.What we will ask of you:
- Welcome, greet, and monitor guests dining experience to ensure all are satisfied with food and service, and respond promptly and courteously to any requests
- Always remain educated on our menu offerings and answer questions about our food, beverages, dietary restrictions and other restaurant functions and services
- Perform side work for each shift as required and maintain service areas throughout shift
- Prepare and present final bill, process payment, and report all gratuities received to comply with the IRS standards of reporting income
- Have a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
- Be of legal age to serve / sell Alcohol and at least one year of prior restaurant or relevant experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and all guests
- A flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
