GENERAL SUMMARY: The Serverxe2x80x99s primary responsibility is to create an uncompromising dining experience throughout the guestxe2x80x99s visit. Our servers demonstrate genuine hospitality, work neatly and cleanly, and have the ability to multitask and work in a team environment.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Answer questions about the menu, sells restaurantxe2x80x99s food and drinks, and communicates orders with the kitchenStay guest focused and sustain an excellent guest experiencePossess strong food, and beverage knowledgeKeep all working stations clean, organized and properly stockedPerform daily and weekly cleaning dutiesHandling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guestAssess customersxe2x80x99 needs and preferences and make recommendationsREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills with the ability to multitaskBasic understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standardsExcellent customer service skills with a polite and attentive demeanorFlexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAble to work in a team serving environmentMay require a food handler's certification, depending on local regulationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:At least 2 years of experience in restaurant industryHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Knowledge and passion for tableside service, wine, and craft cocktails are a plusMeets state minimum age (18) to serve alcoholCERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS:Must have a valid form of identification.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Must have the knowledge to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;Must have the knowledge to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and tips.Must have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.COMPUTER SKILLS:Must be able to learn and utilize Toast Point-of-Sale (POS) & Restaurant365 systems.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Basic knowledge of English is highly preferred.Must have the ability to read, understand and follow both verbal and written company directives and initiatives.Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of government policies and regulations.Have the ability to effectively answer questions and speak before groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public at restaurant locations.REASONING ABILITY:Must have the ability to use common sense to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.Must have the ability to creatively solve problems in a fast paced environment using experience and an outside-the-box mindset.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
