Mission:
To promote Edwards Vacuum products & IVS Service products to develop new business in the (Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina &North Carolina) market place. Grow sales revenue and profitability in a specific geographic or customer defined territory. Give presentations on advanced technology. Work with sales support groups - applications, aftermarket/service, engineering to identify and propose valuable solutions.
Broad Activities:
-Grow sales revenue and profitability in a specific geographic or customer defined territory by direct sales of vacuum equipment and services to customers, focus on Brand X products for service or Brand X exchange
-Self-starter and motivator with a committed approach to meeting the goals and requirements
-Able to work from home
-Able to travel up to 80%, expected travel around 50%
- Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business targets, managing personal time and productivity
-Develop and maintain good customer relationships at all levels within the area and ensure an excellent standard of aftermarket service is provided
- Liaise with colleagues from other Divisions to co-ordinate activities where appropriate to maximize customer relationship and business outcome wherever possible
- Cooperate with service aftermarket team to provide good after sales service to customers and achieve customer satisfaction
- Under take ad-hoc project work related to VTS, including new products and Marketing Campaigns.
- Provide Customer information / feedback on a regular basis
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
-Techniques of promoting and selling capital equipment
-Commercial acumen
-Good presentation skills
-Experience with SAP a plus
-Excellent computer skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
-Technical competency and familiarity with industrial equipment and technologies
-Working knowledge of process controls, electrical standards
-Analytical techniques and computer literacy
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Good administrative and personal disciplines to handle multi-task, time- constrained activities, driven by customer requirements
-Strong presentation and negotiation skills
Education:
-A degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
Experience:
-At least 4 years\' experience with capital equipment or component sales into the process chemical industry
-Knowledge of vacuum pumping systems or chemical processes or rotating machinery and their applications gained through at least 3 years\' experience of a similar role
-Good administrative and personal disciplines to handle multi-task, time- constrained activities, driven by customer requirements
-Self-starter and motivator with a committed approach to meeting the goals and requirements
