Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the restaurant during assigned shifts
- Ensure that food preparation, cooking, and serving are done efficiently and according to quality standards
- Train and supervise team members to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to company policies
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve any issues that may arise
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including dining area, kitchen, and restrooms
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Assist in scheduling shifts and managing labor costs
- Collaborate with the management team to implement strategies for improving sales and profitability Experience:
- Previous experience in the food service industry, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and make quick decisions
- Proficiency in using POS systems and other restaurant management software Skills:
- Cook: Ability to prepare a variety of dishes following recipes and food safety guidelines
- Food service: Knowledge of proper serving techniques, including portion control and presentation
- Assistant manager: Experience in assisting with managerial duties such as scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Food industry: Familiarity with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
- Team management: Ability to motivate, coach, and lead a team to achieve goals
