As a Shipping Attendant, you will unload incoming shipments of returned reels, count parts and keep inventory accuracy and provide backup/assistance to our Shipping Technician and Inventory Control Specialist. The attendant will properly prepare and load outgoing shipments of finished products, and transport of materials/finished products to appropriate department and/or storage locations. This position will also assist in building reels as needed.What can you expect in a Shipping Attendant role at Dura-Line?As a Shipping Attendant, you will:

• Load and coordinate outgoing shipments
• Unload incoming shipments, distribute to proper storage locations.
• Examine outgoing shipments for any product defects .
• Assemble, package products/materials for shipment if required - wrap, add protection per standard work instructions.
• Label identifying information and shipping instructions onto boxes, reels or containers and ensure proper documentation for shipments
• Place Shipping Labels on all shipments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area, and assist to maintain an orderly and clean shipping yard (5S +2)
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
• Perform all work cautiously, with safety of yourself and fellow team members at the top of mind always.
• Maintain a safe space for your team to share feedback and ideas for improvements.

• Your commitment to wearing gloves, eye protection, and steel toe boots always, and dust mask, earplugs, hard hats, and face shields as necessary.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and orderly work space.
• Your ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.
• Your ability to work indoors on the plant floor, with heat, dust, and noise , as well as outdoors in any weather condition.
• Your ability to enter and exit the forklift numerous times per day. Must also be able to squat, bend, or stoop as much as 25% of the time on some days.
