Job Description

Key responsibilities of a Shower Aide:

Assisting with bathing: Providing scheduled showers to residents, ensuring proper water temperature and assisting with washing all body parts as needed.

Transferring and mobility support: Helping residents safely get in and out of the shower using appropriate equipment like shower chairs or transfer devices if required.

Hygiene practices: Washing hair, shaving, and providing oral hygiene assistance as needed.

Monitoring resident health: Observing for any skin changes, injuries, or other concerns during showering and reporting them to the nursing staff.

Maintaining cleanliness: Cleaning and sanitizing shower areas after each use.

Documentation: Accurately documenting resident's bathing details and any pertinent observations.

Following safety protocols: Adhering to infection control guidelines and using proper body mechanics while assisting residents.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
