Maintenance Mechanic

Summary:

Maintains plant productivity by proactively managing maintenance function. Welding and Fabrication work on stationary equipment Ensure proper Parts Inventory Maintain facility equipment Performing PM's on: Downstream sorting lines, conveyors, and machines. Diagnostics and minor repairs to industrial type of equipment including Mobile Equipment, Forklifts, front end loaders, skid steers, truck & Trailers. Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair work for machinery and various plant equipment e.g., Eddy Current Separator, System Conveyors, Trommels, etc. Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric systems, PLC, valves, cylinders, bearings, and electric motors Check with key operations (forklift, loader, and separator) to be sure all equipment is running properly; and schedule maintenance as required. Prepare and maintain all maintenance records, and daily reports. Assign, review, and check work of maintenance done by employees, providing on-the-job training as needed; eliminate ordinary work difficulties. May be involved in a variety of other responsibilities including ordering of parts, welding, fabricating and performance electrical repairs (minor). Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned. All other duties as assigned

Safety:

Wear all necessary PPE when working in the yard. Always follow company safety standards.

Requirements:

Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure. Compute ratio, rate and percent. Familiarity with yard vehicles, forklift, loaders, and material separators a definite plus * Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 - 50 pounds.
