This grant funded program teaches eligible community members how to eat healthy on a budget and lead physically active lifestyles. SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators provide eligible populations and families with easy ways to shop, cook, and eat healthy food on a budget by providing direct education opportunities to children, adults, families, and older adults. The direct education components are also supported by implementation of policy, systems, and environmental change strategies. The Nutrition Educator will report directly to the appropriate Health Promotion Manager. This position will be required to keep detailed records for reporting and evaluation. The candidate will work independently, be well-organized, and possess a strong attention to detail.
Travel is required throughout Androscoggin County and occasionally to statewide trainings. Position dependent on continuous funding. Candidate must meet all state mandated immunization requirements for healthcare facilities.
