Job Description


Acadian Companies has an internship opportunity for a social media content curator in the PR & Marketing department. This role will work with the ambulance division\xe2\x80\x99s operations districts to identify, train and foster social media content creators. The goal of this team will be to create generationally relevant content, consistent with the company\xe2\x80\x99s overall communication efforts and brand awareness on social media, with internal AND external audiences.

The position will report directly to the president of the ambulance division and will work closely with the corporate Marketing & PR department.

Goals:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of social media, demonstrated editorial judgment, and familiarity with Gen-Z online culture.
  • This social media curator will support content on the company\xe2\x80\x99s official TikTok and Instagram channels, as well as regional TikTok channels.
  • Curated content will be used in conjunction with in-house content to promote the business\xe2\x80\x99 social media branding and recruiting efforts.
  • The ideal candidate should be able to keep up with new technologies and trends to keep the business on the leading edge. Additionally, the ideal candidate will operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Qualities/Skills:

Candidates should be:
  • An excited proponent of new social media trends and methods to reach the 18-24 demographic effectively
  • Organized
  • Able to communicate work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams
  • Able to provide analytical data of their social media efforts
  • Studying in the fields of (digital) marketing, public relations, journalism, or a similar field
Responsibilities:

The social media curator intern will:
  • Identify teams of content creators across the company footprint.
  • Coach, train and manage the team to create effective and relevant content for internal and external audiences.
  • Curate the themes for content. Vet/audit and publish the content (in conjunction with PR team).
  • Research and monitor the activities of company competitors.
  • Investigate new trends and tools connected with the generation and curation of digital material.
  • Analyze content consumption across all platforms and make recommendations to the marketing team.
  • Build on Acadian\xe2\x80\x99s social media content calendar.
  • Complement the company\xe2\x80\x99s existing social media strategies, platforms and processes, as well as brand voice and marketing goals.
Terms and Conditions of Employment:
  • Temporary, full-time position - 120 day assignment; may extend and/or transition to permanent position based on company needs and project deliverables
  • 40 hours per week
