Regular Schedule: 34 hours per week
A Non-Merit vacancy exists in the Bureau of Community Based Services/Center for Family Success, Department of Health and Human Services. In order to be qualified for this position, you MUST have 90 clock hours Core Knowledge Training.
Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan.

Examples of Duties
Assists with the direct care, safety, development, and well-being of all child participants.
Assists with the implementation of developmentally appropriate program activities for infants and toddlers,
Provides informal parenting education to parent participants.
Observes child behavior and notes observances.
Assists with screenings and assessments.
Records and enters data.
Maintains records and reports.
Provides a clean and appropriate environment.
Enforces health and safety standards.
Assists with transportation of families to and from the Center.
Attends trainings and meetings as required.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Must have 90 clock hours Core Knowledge Training.
Preferred Qualifications
45 clock hours of Infant and Toddler Training.
Understand and be committed to the overall philosophy of family support.
Possess child growth and development knowledge from birth through five years of age.
Maintain respect for confidentiality.
Relate to people of diverse backgrounds.
Model appropriate interaction with young children and parents.
Ability to work independently as well as a team member and leader.
Ability to schedule and manage time.
Ability to follow direction/curriculum/lesson plans.
This position requires a valid license equivalent to a non-commercial, class C Maryland driver\'s license at the time of appointment.
EXAMINATION PROCEDURE
Applicants will be qualified based on an evaluation of their training and experience, as stated on their application, which includes answers to the supplemental questions. Applicants must state the dates and duties of past and present experience clearly and completely for evaluation purposes.
Conditions of Employment
Employees hired after July 1, 2022 are required to participate in the Baltimore County Employees\' Retirement System, with very limited exceptions.
Medical Examination and Employment Background Investigation
Applicants selected for employment with Baltimore County must successfully complete a physical examination, drug screening and employment investigation, including, but not limited to criminal background, education certification and fingerprinting checks.
