Job Description

We are looking to hire a talented Software Engineer III. The Software Engineer III will assist in maintaining and enhancing existing software applications as well as help build new applications for Origence with general or little direction and guidance from more senior staff. What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing:

• Work with cross functional teams to develop functional requirements into the system.
• Assist other developers with when they ask for help.
• Investigate and resolve software errors in application systems.
• Participate in the support for any software issues that may arise in all environments from development through to production.
• Increase working knowledge of CU Direct systems and technologies.

The Ideal Candidate: Education:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or related industry experience.

Experience:

• A minimum of four years professional software development experience in Windows or Web Applications
• An understanding of relational databases is a must (preferably Microsoft SQL Server)
• A minimum of four years\xe2\x80\x99 experience: C# or VB.NET, Visual Studio, T-SQL
• Additional experience in the following is preferred: ASP.NET, WCF, Web Services, XML, SQL Server, Windows Services, UX Design, JavaScript, CSS, Domain Driven Design

Specialized Skills:

• Problem Solving\\Trouble Shooting
• Willingness and initiative to learn new technologies and know when to apply them
• Excellent collaboration skills
• Strong oral, written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical users.
• Ability to work in fast paced / flexible environment.

The starting hourly range for this full-time position in Irvine, CA is $43 - $62 an hour. This base pay will take into consideration internal equity, candidate\xe2\x80\x99s geographic region, job-related knowledge and experience among other factors. Origence maintains a highly competitive compensation program. Under company guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual bonus to provide an incentive to achieve targeted goals.
