You will be using your skills and expertise to define, design, develop, test, certify and improve cutting-edge software products. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You\'ll perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout our development process. Your technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations \xe2\x80\x93 with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

The Aircraft System Development (ASD) team is developing a clean sheet mission system for integration on new aircraft platform for U.S. Army. We are looking for talented Software engineers that can support this development effort.

Must-haves:

• Bachelor\'s of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
• Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
• Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
• Proficient in data structures and algorithms with the C/C++ programming languages
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems and embedded systems \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with developing and compiling software for a Linux-based operating system
• Experience with software version control systems (subversion, git, etc.)
• Ability to work in a highly-collaborative multi-disciplinary team \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong organization skills and work ethic
• This position requires the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Preferred:

• Experience developing complex/multi-component software systems
• Experience presenting technical topics and status to internal teams
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including software data modeling
• Proficient with Microsoft Visual Studio and cross-compilation for Linux-based operating systems
• Familiarity with the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) Standard
• Experience with computer graphics programming (OpenGL / Vulkan)
• Proficient in Python, C#, and other programming languages
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral
• Interest in avionics systems, tactical mission systems, drones, robotics, computer vision, control systems, and/or computer networking

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates\xe2\x80\x99 key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
