DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and build cloud hosted, event driven microservices using modern software engineering practices to originate new financial accounts. Ensure stories are groomed to required levels of technical detail including all non- functional requirements in the areas of automated testing, performance, resilience, security and continuous availability of deployed microservices. Write well documented, well tested applications using various frameworks and a number of subordinate frameworks. Leverage various custom frameworks and tools developed and maintained by various central teams within JPMC as well as the AOA teams to build applications in a standard, maintainable fashion. Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable application. Leverage integration capabilities to enable lightweight messaging within an application and implement consumer driven contract testing. Implement event driven services and produce comprehensive test cases for all developed applications. Participate in system and integrated testing across sub-systems. Take active role in the development and ongoing management of multiple event driven micro-services in the cloud. Drive Sprint planning, review, retrospectives and backlog grooming. Mentor junior developers through the creation, extension and management of toolsets leveraging industry standard and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor\'s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus Five [5] years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Architect, Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master\'s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus three [3] years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Architect, Developer, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: build and leverage Jenkins based automations for software build, test & release using continuous integration and deployment principles; Java 8 or Java 11 code using various Spring frameworks such as Springboot, Spring Integration, Spring Data, Spring Cloud Contracts, Spring Cloud Config, Spring Kafka, Spring JMS, and a number of subordinate frameworks including Spring Security and Spring Web Services; Java & Spring development; Microservices development; Enterprise Integration; Enterprise Data access and DevOps areas; unit testing; regression testing; system testing and integration testing; Improve secure coding practices, application security requirements, automation, training, and metrics; Integrate continuous development and deployment process; Kafka; JMS and MQ; and NoSQL and SQL database technologies such as Cassandra or Oracle.

Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
