We are a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to develop embedded software at our Grand Prairie, Texas site.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will work in a team with both technical and career leaders.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

- Developing software solutions in line with program requirements

- Tackling exciting engineering problems to the modernization of legacy capability into the joint weapon system overall effort

Additionally, technical leadership of the software team and leading them through the software development process, supporting customer reviews, and successful demonstration activities while providing product leadership.

You will experience all phases of software development, ranging from requirements analysis through code implementation and formal qualification testing.

It is possible that travel will be required to both customer and supplier sites. It is also possible that travel will be both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS).

Telecommuting opportunities can vary depending on daily tasking.

Basic Qualifications:
*Must currently hold a DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position*

- Modern C++ (11 or higher) and C computer language

- Linux/Xilinx tool suite

- Seeker or Radar knowledge of RF, signals & systems, modulation/demodulation, sampling, filtering Design experience
Desired Skills:
- Software design, architecture

- Working knowledge of Ada

- Knowledge of Rhapsody and Cameo/MagicDraw

- Formal qualification testing
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
