Primary Function of Position:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the Intuitive 3D Model team at Intuitive Surgical. The engineer will work on digital, cloud-based solutions that will enable the future of imaging-based intelligent robotic surgery. The engineer will work with cross functional teams across all phases of the product development lifecycle, including design, implementation, debug, verification and validation, and deployment. An experienced candidate is to be familiar with the latest frontend and backend technologiest for web, mobile apps, and cloud technologies, and able to independently design, implement and debug software.

:

• Work with Product Managers and User Interface Designers to refine product design.
• Work with Software Architects to design software.
• Implement software following team\'s coding convension and best practices.
• Investigate and resolve bugs and issues reported from Quality Assurance team and the field.
• Formally document software\'s technical specifications and architecture.
• Work with DevOp team to maintain continuous integration and continuous development of cloud-based products.

Qualifications

Skill/Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor of Science degree required (Master preferred) in Computer Science or equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) years of industry experience.
• Experience with SW development life cycles, from design, architecturing, diagramming, implementation, code review, testing, documentation, g and continuous integration/deployment.
• Experience with repository management solutions (git and subversion).
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, Node.JS, or comparable Framework.
• Experience with SQL and noSQL databases (PostgreSQL / Redis preferred).
• Experience with JavaScript ES5/ES6, and TypeScript.
• Experience with React and React Native.
• Experience with AWS S3, EC2 and ECS .
• Experience with Dockers and containerized applications.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills or Experiences:

• Knowledge of and experience with DICOM/ PACS and medical imaging technologies (e.g., CT, MRI).
• Knowledge of and experience with Linux environment.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
