Sourdough Baker
Big Heart Bread was created with a simple goal: to bake delicious sourdough, share it with our neighbors, and use the proceeds to serve our community. As our Baker, you are required to share this goal, do your part to keep our bakery stocked with fresh sourdough bread, and ensure our sourdough bread is prepared according to established techniques and recipes.
Responsibilities
Mix, shape, score, and bake sourdough bread
Maintain quantity, quality, and consistency of bread
Stay on production schedule
Give constructive feedback regarding the production schedule
Feed, care for, and maintain health of starter
Maintain inventory list and communicate ingredients and supplies as needed
Keep a clean and sanitary workspace
Abide by food safety regulations
Prep and bake items for the bakery case, like cookies and coffee cake
Assist with the development and implementation of new products once bread production is fulfilled
Keep a positive attitude
Stay open to feedback with the understanding that the whole team is working towards the same goal
Other duties as required
Requirements
One-year commercial sourdough baking experience preferred
Will accept one-year in-home sourdough baking experience for the right person
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and sustain physical activity for 12-hour shifts

Approximately 36 hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
5:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary and Benefits
$468 - $540 weekly based on experience
One week of paid vacation after one year
5 paid holidays off per year
