Space Information Coordinator

Job Description
- Prepares properly formatted floor plans for new campus buildings and updates existing building drawings maintained in the space management database in accordance with department standards and procedures using AutoCAD software.
- Surveys and measures facilities for accurate information verifying space configuration, room numbers, and room function.
- Ensures that the University\'s space floor plans are accurate for use in generating space data.
- Interacts with external architectural firms as required
- Enters space management data for real and leased property into the university space management database using space management software in accordance with department processes and procedures
- Prepares various space allocation plans, evacuation plans, and other space management related documents using AutoCAD software.
- Meets with document users and provides authorized access to files to assist the University Space Manager, senior management, project managers and other university groups in the performance of their duties.
- Provide digital drafting support to create drawings for various department projects that may include architectural plans, elevations and details.
- Provides AutoCAD software assistance to the University Space Manager.
- Stays familiar with latest software releases to ensure that department is efficiently utilizing software in support of space management efforts
Driver\'s license required.Personal computer applications to include word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Extensive knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD software and knowledge of drafting/architectural design procedures and standards.
