Join Our Team at Hala Tree Cafe! Hala Tree Cafe is seeking skilled baristas and cashiers to join our team as we prepare to open our first cafe in Ka\'a\'awa in June. About the Shop The cafe is in Ka\'a\'awa, next door to the Crouching Lion restaurant. There\'s a large lanai and floor-to-ceiling windows with a great view. Our bar setup is a barista\'s dream with a Sanremo Cafe Racer (the same machine currently used in the World Latte Art Championship), and Mahlkonig e80 and e65s grinders at its center. Downstairs from the cafe will be a coffee lab with cupping tables and a bank of small roasters. We\'ll use this space for quality analysis, classes, and coffee tastings. We will serve 100% farm-direct Kona coffee grown on our own farm. Hala Tree Coffee has consistently been named one of the top 10 coffees in Hawai\'i cupping competitions over the last several years and we have multiple 90+ scores on CoffeeReview.com (including a 95-point score of our anaerobic honey process Typica from 2020 and 93 points for this year\'s SL-28 honey process). Our coffee also took a US Brewers Cup competitor to the national finals in 2018, and we plan to return to sponsoring US Coffee Champs competitors in the future. Position We are seeking to hire a friendly and outgoing individual with a genuine love of coffee and hospitality. We\'re a quality-focused shop, but aloha and a passion for great hospitality are the most important factors in this job. We will provide in-depth training in coffee skills for the right candidate. Requirements:

• Previous experience as a barista is strongly preferred, but not required.
• Passion for coffee and dedication to learning and refining barista skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute in a supportive and collaborative team environment.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and early mornings.

Pay: The wage specified is the base pay, not including tips. This means that the actual take-home pay for this position could be quite a bit higher.

• Full-time employees start at $22/hr + tips.
