We are seeking a career-minded Specialty Sales Assistant for our Northern Virginia territory. This is a fun relationship-driven business that requires sales ability, dedication, and exceptional servicing skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for forming relationships with accounts and increasing sales and distribution of our specialty products within the Northern Virginia territory.

SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday; some weekend and nights may be required.

COMPENSATION:

Salary: $48,000 annually

Vehicle Allowance: $550/month

Phone Allowance: $15/month

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for forming relationships with on-premise and off-premise accounts and increasing sales and distribution of our products within a specific territory.

Sales & Merchandising

• Maximize distribution of all brands and packages as determined by Sales Department Team Leader.
• Secure the best possible selling position for our products in each account. (Including primary displays, secondary displays, coolers, etc\xe2\x80\xa6.)
• Maximize permanent, temporary, and promotional secondary displays as determined by Division Sales Manager.
• Sell-in and execute all authorized promotions.
• Sell sufficient product inventory to eliminate out-of-stock situations.
• Maintain and increase shelf facings for all BDC products
• Rotate products in all areas (coolers, backrooms, displays, and warm shelf)
• Maintain compliance with Brown Distributing Co.\xe2\x80\x99s CPR and out of code policies.
• Utilize Point-Of-Sale materials to stimulate sales

Servicing

• Call on each account as scheduled, each day without fail.
• Create, develop, and maintain professional working relationship in every account.
• Follow-up on all business commitments to your customers.
• Service all customer requests in a timely manner.

Related Sales Duties

• Communicate daily with the drivers and warehouse staffs to make sure all orders were received.
• Make sure you have current \xe2\x80\x9cselling tools\xe2\x80\x9d with you in your vehicle.
• Drive your vehicle safely, courteously, and obey all traffic regulations. Report all traffic violations to your District Manager immediately.
• Maintain accurate records and process all orders, reports, and forms as required.
• Report all competitive activities to your Team Leader.
• Attend all sales meetings.
• Follow all BDC rules and regulations.

P.O.S:

• Ensure the maintenance and usage of paper and permanent P.O.S. in assigned accounts.
• Ensure compliance of all alcoholic beverage regulations

Qualifications

• Must live in NOVA

• Prior experience in sales, preferably in Beer or Wine/Spirits

• Effective communicator and customer service focused

• Relationship Builder

• Must have a valid Virginia Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with a clean driving record (no DUI\'s, no negative points, no moving violations in the last 3 years)

• Reliable transportation required

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work a flexible full time schedule
