Robert Half has a terrific opportunity for a permanent Senior Accountant to join an innovative, growing company in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be required to perform financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role

- Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary

- Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

- Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

- Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

- Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external

- When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests

- Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Requirements

- Excellent attention to detail

- Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- ERP system experience

- Ability to meet deadlines

- Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

- 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

- General familiarity with general ledger

- Public Accounting experience desired

- Proven knowledge of account reconciliation

- Month end closings experience highly desired

- Well-founded grasp of Credit Card Reconciliation

- Proficiency in NetSuite

- Foundational knowledge in University Degree

- US GAAP experience required

- Strong time management skills preferred

- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

- Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
