ECS is seeking a Sr Application Developer to work in our Washington, DC office.

ECS is seeking a TS-cleared Sr Application Developer to support one of our mission critical programs for the Department of Justice. We offer the chance to support the world\xe2\x80\x99s finest law enforcement organization and help the people that keep us safe. In this job you will support agents, analysts, and professionals and technology they use to fight terrorism, espionage, cyber-attacks, and major criminal threats.

We are seeking candidates committed to high quality to provide courteous and accurate technical information. As a Sr. Application Developer, you will collaborate with customers, often engaging directly with non-technical personnel, to understand their data related needs, suggest solutions, and complete work in a timely manner. This position performs activities associated with implementation, integration, and support of computer systems in mission-critical response operations environment.

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility is to be a senior developer leading application/software development tasks and projects using C#, Python, or Java (C# is preferred).
• Lead and support microservices development utilizing C#, Python, Java (C# is preferred).
• Ability to program in C#, Python, Java (C# is preferred).
• Develop software/applications using AWS technologies.
• Work in data warehouse environment, which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation.
• Perform Extract, Transform, Load tasks.
• Translate business needs into long-term architecture solutions.
• Develop data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware and software platforms, and integrating systems.
• Evaluate reusability of current data for additional analyses.
• Review object and data models and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor\'s Degree and 10 years, or Master\'s Degree with 8 years of experience
• Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining SCI / CI-Poly if needed to meet contract requirements
• A minimum of 10 years software/application programming experience.
• Significant software/application development experience using C#, Python, Java (C# is preferred).
• Demonstrated knowledge and development experience with AWS.
• Demonstrated experience developing in a Microservices environment.
• Experience with JEE or other Java frameworks (e.g., Spring).
• Experience using software/application development tools (e.g., Eclipse, JUnit, Git).
• Demonstrated experience with relational or other database platforms, SQL or other query languages.
• Working knowledge and experience with Agile Scrum methodology.
• Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of full lifecycle engineering projects.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to present technical capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a cross-functional teams.

• AWS Certification.
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies on the fly.
• Ability to communicate with customers to refine requirements.
• Ability to deconstruct customer requirements into delineated tasks.
• Being a team player, willing to transparently collaborate with technical SMEs.
• Experience with implementing scalability within an AWS Cloud infrastructure.
