As Senior Director of Enterprise Infrastructure, the role leads essential infrastructure teams at the core Vail Resorts technology strategy. The Vail Resorts Enterprise Infrastructure teams oversee the architecture and maintenance of hybrid data center services, networking, and application infrastructure enabling employee and guest experiences at Vail Resorts.In this role, you will be responsible for providing vision, leadership, strategy and team development for the Enterprise Infrastructure teams across all aspects of the Vail Resorts IT portfolio. The role is responsible for defining infrastructure operational strategy, architecture and change processes while providing the leadership that aligns a diverse stakeholder group with the vision of how the team delivers IT services to the organization. Superior leadership qualities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with experience in driving change within an organization are a requirement. You will develop a clear articulation of vision and roadmap for Enterprise Infrastructure aligned to maturing operational excellence and strategic long-range growth plans for the organization. You will be interfacing directly with senior stakeholders to align on business priorities and provide expertise in how Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations can provide differentiated impact.This position reports to the Vice President of IT Infrastructure and is a critical member of the IT Infrastructure Leadership team partnering with peer IT leaders including InfoSec and Application Development to design and execute on the company\'s technology roadmap.Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive: Develop and drive the ownership and accountability across all aspects of the Enterprise Infrastructure team in support of business objectives and supporting IT initiatives with a Business Leaders First mindset.
  • Able to facilitate multi-disciplinary strategic discussions with senior business and technology leaders combined with strong, clear and concise communications skills
  • Provide leadership to the Infrastructure, Application teams and LOB\'s to ensure successful execution of roadmaps that aligns with our Business Strategy.
  • Provide project/program facilitation and oversight; facilitate agreement on objectives and success measures, provide overall project/program issue resolution and roadblock removal.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Technology or related field
  • Preferred 10+ years of relevant work experience including proven ability to successfully lead and oversee critical projects and cross functional efforts
  • Previous experience managing, engaging, and driving a high-performing Enterprise Infrastructure teams
  • Ability to communicate with various levels (including executives) within IT and the Business
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of key concepts in ITIL, SDLC, IT Service Delivery, Dev/Ops and Cloud services
  • Demonstrated experience leading customer facing Application Architecture and Infrastructure servicing global guest and employee audiences
  • Experience defining and executing a multi-cloud strategy, including hybrid cloud orchestration and automation with a focus on Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud product offerings
  • Deep understanding of Cloud and On Premise data center technologies
  • Experience with next gen alerting and monitoring tools
  • Understanding of Endpoint Management Tools
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies and licensing (Azure, SQL, Office/Teams, Biztalk, Windows/Server OS\'s)
  • Understanding of telephony and call center strategies and technologies
  • Consistently demonstrated growth in their own skills development & leadership
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Strong learning agility. Enjoys and excels in environments with new and increasingly complex strategic business challenges and issues-incorporating the newest ideas, technologies, and approaches to business

  • Participate in the annual expense and capital budgeting processes & cycles for their areas.

  • Ability to manage/oversee internal and contract resources.
  • Ability to produce talent on their team and across the organization
Vendor Management:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to external vendors.
  • Ability to work through vendor contract management issues.
