Role Purpose
Position provides pre and post?award administration and financial management for BJC grants and contracts funded by federal and non-federal agencies, foundations and industry sponsors. Fiscal management and compliance oversight of sponsored programs are governed by generally accepted accounting principles, federal audit and regulatory guidelines (Uniform Guidance), relevant laws, sponsor award terms and conditions, and BJC institutional polices. Throughout the grant life cycle, effective communication and working relationships with internal and external research partners (including principal investigators, research and administrative support staff, leadership, collaborating partners and sponsor liaisons) are necessary to support BJC institutional compliance.
Responsibilities * Pre-Award: Coordinates the review and readiness of grant and contract proposals for timely submission to sponsor, including verification and completeness of budgets and justifications, institutional assurances and certifications, and other required information. Ability to interpret, communicate and apply financial, programmatic, regulatory and administrative guidelines of funding opportunity announcements. Serves as primary liaison between principal investigators and external sponsors during proposal submission and contract negotiation.
