This role at Sierra Nevada Corporation fills a pivotal role to research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft. You\'ll lead a team to conceptualize and design for cutting-edge autonomous aircraft and missile systems throughout the product life-cycle from various subsystem designs to fully integrated systems.The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.Must-haves:

• Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
• Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
• 3+ yrs of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership
• Experience with weapons or missile systems
• Senior skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tiers
• Earned Value Management experience
• Familiarity with preparation and development of project estimates, technical proposals, and program cost and schedule management
• Past history of developing baseline project definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of integrated trade studies and analysis
• Experience with CATIA 3DExperience

#Ll-hybridEstimated Starting Salary Range: $124,771.42 - $171,560.71.
