Job Summary

The Senior Technology Consultant invests in the future of Southwest\xe2\x80\x99s People by supporting the Technology Planning and Portfolio Management Team. The Senior Technology Consultant role will be part of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Technology Planning and Portfolio Management Team. The Team serves as trusted advisors to our Technology Senior Leaders, building strong connections and facilitating conversations across various business and technology Teams throughout the Company. The Team strives to continuously improve how we manage and translate business demand to create a consistent, consumable multi-year plan across Technology. The Senior Technology Consultant will be responsible for supporting demand management for the OCIO, interacting directly and regularly with our CIO and our Director of the OCIO. The position will require the facilitation of meetings with all our Technology Senior Leaders and the development of presentation materials consumed by Southwest Executives up to our Board of Directors. The Senior Technology Consultant is a strong communicator with a passion for storytelling and the ability to see how the many Teams of Technology connect to a bigger picture. This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Responsibilities
Identify new ways to create value through business process improvements and technology enhancements proactively
Translate Customer needs through deep understanding of Customer priorities, value drivers, and challenges
Drive solutions within a Team/group without being a subject matter expert
Complete assigned and project tasks with minimal direction
Partner with Senior Leadership across the Company to lead various activities required in the ongoing development and delivery of strategic initiatives
Analyze impact of problems, facilitate resolutions, and escalate to Leadership as needed
Anticipate large-scale, complex challenges within domain; including risk, dependencies, timelines, scope, etc.
Identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee\'s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services, including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction
Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Required: Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Technology, Finance, or related field
Experience
Required: Expert-level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in:
solving complex problems and driving multiple stakeholders toward implementable solutions
leading programs that can span multiple work groups and/or departments\xe2\x80\x8b\xe2\x80\x8b
Preferred: Experience aligning tech strategy with delivery planning, including resources, timelines, and financial forecasting
Preferred: Facilitating meetings and conversations with multiple Senior Leaders (experience and examples preferred)
Preferred: Creating executive presentation materials (experience and examples preferred)

Pay & Benefits
Competitive market salary from $137,250 per year to $152,500 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
