-The Apache Fire Control programs have a critical need for a candidate that will be responsible for the support and development of hardware products to support the Apache Fire Control EO programs.
-The main assignment would be to the TADS/PNVS production program in which the FPGA designs will be updated to support new capabilities.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to support the integration efforts in addition to performing the development of the product.
-Circuit card design and troubleshooting experience would be beneficial for the ideal candidate.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to aiding existing staff with advanced product development, and other IRAD activities.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to communicate extensively with a multidisciplinary team including quality, production operations, procurement, and suppliers to identify and assist in closing corrective action items.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to attend industry conferences and to keep up-to-date on related industry best practices and technological advancements.

The Locale: Orlando is a city in the Central Florida area. This region is a great place to live and to raise a family. Central Florida offers lots of attractive residential housing options. The Greater Orlando metropolitan area is the sixth largest metro area in the southeastern United States. The climate here is warm and sunny all year long for the most part. Orlando is home to the University of Central Florida (UCF), Walt Disney World, and SeaWorld. Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour\'s drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1 and \xc2\xbc hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
• Experience with FPGA architecture, design, and development (Verilog, System-Verilog), associated tools (Vivado, Libero, etc.), and IP Cores
• High Density FPGA video processing applications experience
• Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree; or 4 years of professional experience required with a related PhD.
• Experience with Configuration Management (CM) and Change Control concepts and tools (Git, DOORS, Subversion, Mantis, Jira, etc.)
• Experience working with Functional Requirements and defining Requirement Based Tests
• Experience with Kintex, Zynq US+, and/or Virtex 7 FPGAs is preferred.
• Experience with UVM/OVM - constrained random testing

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
