Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Orlando, FL.
-In this exciting role, the engineer will have the opportunity to support the conceptual and detail design of advanced hardware through the full product life cycle via dynamics and structural analysis.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with individuals from complementary disciplines within the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sub-Contracts organizations.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of new aerospace and related products.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to work with little direction and develop advanced technical principles, techniques, and concepts.
-The ideal candidate will be proficient in dynamic / structural analysis, finite element analysis, structural / vibration testing, and test correlation. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of related application software such as ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, NX, FEMAP, Patran, and HyperMesh.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to communicate technical status and issues to internal and external programs and functional leadership.
-Occasional travel to provide on-site support at customer and supplier locations.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to work on and collaborate with cross functional teams with other engineering disciplines.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers.
-The engineer will have the opportunity to attend industry conferences and to keep up-to-date on related industry best practices and technological advancements.

Basic Qualifications:
-Candidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen and possess an Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
-Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited college/university.
-Professional experience, preferably working specifically in a Mechanical Engineering role focused on Dynamics and/or Structural analysis.
-Knowledge of and modeling experience with related application software such as ANSA, Nastran, Abaqus, NX, FEMAP, Patran, and/or HyperMesh.
Desired Skills:
-9+ years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master\'s degree.
-Active Department of Defense Secret clearance with a closed investigation (or re-investigation) within 5 years.
-Professional, hands-on experience providing dynamics analysis support for product design.
-Working knowledge in one or more of the following:
-Modal analysis
-Shock analysis
-Vibration analysis
- correlation
-Modal correlation
-Ability to work with little direction and develop advanced technical principles, techniques, and concepts.
-Experience in hardware design and development.
-Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Mature computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
