Under the director or designee, the registered nurse is responsible for providing nursing care adapted to individual patient needs based on the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The staff nurse provides care along the health care continuuem in accordance with the philosophy and policies of the hospital

• The Staff Nurse II is responsible for direct and indirect delivery of patient care for a wide variety of patient populations through the use of the nursing process and maintenance of the standards of professional nursing practice. The Registered Nurse promotes compliance and support of policies and achieves trust in professional collegial relationships.

The staff nurse utilizes principles of the nursing process and coordinates clinically related activities to provide for the effective delivery of healthcare. He or she is also responsible for delegation and supervision of personnel, in the provision of care to ensure that patient needs and expected outcomes are met.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Experience in OR setting required
• ACLS (CT CPRACLS)
• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA (CT CPRBLS)
• REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Preferred

• Has perform scrub role preferred
• BSN
• Experience with electronic medical record preferred. Has some Audio-visual equipment experience preferred.
• Two years RN Surgery experience in Acute care hospital or 6 months of verifiable experience (Equivalent to at least 1,000 hrs) as RN in an Operating Room in Acute Care Hospital within the last 2 years AND a Certificate of Completion of AORN Periop 101

Pay Range
$69.47 - $84.81 /hour
