Job Description


Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility required

Location: FBI Headquarters, Washington, DC

Overview: The SOS works in both administrative and operational roles, providing direct support to Intelligence Analysts and Special Agents analyzing intelligence data and incoming leads to create baseline tactical products from all lead referral streams to the FBI and IPR Center leading to an increase of new investigations across all IPR case classifications, or that incorporate IPR violations into cross-programmatic violations such as transnational organized crime, counterterrorism, cyber, and counterintelligence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience or 6 YOE and a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
  • Must have excellent writing and briefing skills, be detail orientated, have the ability to prioritize and be a creative problem solver.
  • Manages multiple, complex projects, and/or operations involving significant resources.
  • Independently conducts operational research to support analytic and investigative strategies.
  • With minimal guidance, conducts external and internal records searches to help facilitate case investigations.
  • Ability to generate visual presentations base on researched results and analytical trends to include but not limited to graphs, pivot tables, ARC GIS slides, link analysis charts.
  • Responsible for briefing mid-level and at times senior management on operational cases, programs, and individual area of expertise internally and externally as needed
  • Input/update the ECU/IPR case dashboard/database.
  • Draft appropriate communications requesting concurrence for overseas travel for FBI personnel, resources, or assets.
  • With minimal guidance, provides predication for and/or assistance with opening a Preliminary, or Full Investigation.
  • The Candidate must possess the ability to manipulate a wide variety of information systems to include FBI and local, state, and federal law enforcement and intelligence databases, as well as commercial software products (such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point), public source systems (such as Lexis-Nexis, and Choice Point).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a team player \xe2\x80\x93 willing to be adaptable and flexible to meet the mission.
  • Experience working in collaborative sessions, while demonstrating strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred. An additional 4 years of experience can be substituted for the degree.
  • Familiarity of operations in areas such as theft of trade secrets, counterfeit goods and copyright infringement matters.
  • Practical experience in operations, knowledge of intelligence collections, expertise in US Government procedures and an understanding of intellectual property rights are necessary position requirements.
Travel: Some local, domestic and international travel is required
