The Branch Operations Division is comprised of 131 Branch offices divided into 9 districts in Michigan. The Branch Operations Division has the responsibility for ensuring Department procedures, policies, and Michigan laws related to the issuance of driver\'s licenses, vehicle titles, registrations, and other Department designated transactions.
This position serves as a Field Operations Manager in a complex work area and will provide direct leadership to and oversight of 4 District Managers (5,6,7,8), and all branch offices in those districts. They will be tasked with ensuring that Division policies, directives, and initiatives are applied in all branch offices within the assigned Districts within Branch Operations Division. The position receives executive direction and provides first line supervision to the assigned District Managers within the Division. The position is also responsible for labor relations activity, complaint investigations, and monitoring of work quality in the branch offices located in the assigned districts within the Division. This position will also serve as the point of contact for branch office-related matters in the absence of the Branch Operations Division Director.

Possession of a bachelor\'s degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.

Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.

CDLKTEX: Pursuant to the Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Enhancement (CMVSE) Act and the requirements established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), this designation requires a nationwide criminal history background check prior to position appointment. The employee, once appointed, is required to successfully complete a formal CDL training course, and knowledge test prior to certification as a CDL Knowledge Test Examiner. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to pass refresher training and examination every four years.
