Job Summary





** The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment. This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul. This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office up to one day per week. This position exists to provide leadership, technical expertise, innovation, and coordination with Minnesota Information Technology (MnIT) in the storage, maintenance and reporting of State Aid data and applications. This position works to educate users, and ensure quality, integrity, stability, and usability of State Aid data and applications from the business perspective, while abiding by federal, state, and other requirements. This position works with MnIT and MnDOT offices on integration of State Aid applications with other related software systems and applications, and on quality control, and quality assurance efforts.

Qualifications




Minimum Qualifications

Two years of advanced professional experience in administering statewide programs. Experience must also demonstrate the following:
  • Experience with database management, data collection, analysis and reporting methods sufficient to effectively compile, review, evaluate data and recommend outcomes.
  • Experience with advanced statistical tools such as Arc Map, Arc Map Pro, or ESRI Story Maps to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Experience delivering training in a variety of forums (one-on-one, classroom, on-line, etc.).
A Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in (Business, Project Management, Computer Information Systems) substitutes for six months of advanced professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with State Aid major databases: State Aid Needs, State Aid Project Tracking, MnCMAT and ancillary or related datasets and familiarity with MnDOT enterprise business data.
  • Knowledge of existing State Aid on-line maps: State Aid Needs, State Aid Project Tracking, Bridges and Historic Bridges.
