Closing Date: September 27, 2024Teck Alaska Incorporated, Red Dog Operations, one of the world\'s largest producers of zinc concentrate, is recruiting for a Steam Bay Attendant.Rotation schedule will be 2 weeks on-site with 2 weeks off-siteReporting to the Mine Maintenance Shift SupervisorResponsibilities:

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Clean various equipment and prep work for preventative maintenance (PM) and repair work
• Perform general shop clean up tasks such as emptying oil containers, emptying trash, sweeping floors, removing boxes, replacing dirty glove and rags with new ones, completing tank dips in oil mezzanine and overall organization of shop
• Communicate effectively with other operators, colleagues and supervisor about assigned tasks and ensuring carryover and updates of completed tasks throughout the shift
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of environmental risks and hazards as well as comply with safety policies and procedures (MSHA and Red Dog EMS training) and ensure daily workplace inspections are done in order to accurately identify and correct workplace hazards
• Ensure compliance with all established policies and standard operating procedures and advise coworkers and visitors of such policies and procedures as required
• Other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in mining, mill or related environment is preferred
• Ability to perform physically demanding work
• Must be a team player with a positive team attitude
• Must be willing to learn while demonstrating safe work practices
