Summary:
Location Base: One position to be based in one the following: Anchorage, Chenega, Cordova, Homer, Kenai, Nanwalek, Port Graham, Seward or Tatitlek, or Valdez, AK.
Chugachmiut will use the FY2023 grant to build the capacity of its Tribal Education Agency in four ways: supporting staff capacity within the Tribal Education Department (TEA), performing a community needs and asset mapping survey, assembling educators and stakeholders at a tribal education summit and offering Local Education Agencies (LEAs) training and teaching tools for Sugpiaq language, history, and culture. A significant task of the TEA will be to promote coordination and collaboration with local school districts and other community organizations.
