Stock Room / Re-can Technician

LOCATION: MT. Clemens, MI
AVAILABLE SHIFTS: Days (6:00 AM-2:30 PM)
COMPENSATION: $18.00/hour + Other Benefits (medical, dental, vision, supplemental insurance plans, 401-K, etc.) Applicable Michigan state law sick time.

POSITION DETAILS:

This position is responsible for maintaining raw materials and physical goods for the R&D group and re-canning material for the R&D group.

• Use of a drum truck to move and lift drums.
• Labeling and moving material to the stockroom
• Stockroom inventory management which includes weekly counts and restocking of material, panel inventory, spray cartridges and pail/lid inventory.
• Weekly testing of fire extinguishers and exit lights and monthly testing of grounding wires.
• Receiving re-canned material and staging it for pick up by the internal labs.
• Drum Rack Management which includes monitoring inventory levels and refilling material as needed from Carousels.
• Identify material received from the shipping department and staging it for pick up by the internal labs.
• Use of Tran-Stacker to move and re-can material from Totes.
• Dispensing of material out of drums and totes into pails (40 lbs.) and gallons (8 lbs.) using pour spouts, ground wires, pail crimpers and mallets.
• Re-can and labelling material with the correct information.
• Use of RF gun for consumption of material.
• The movement and palletizing of drums using a drum truck
• Hi-Lo and Crane operations.
• Daily Housekeeping of area \xe2\x80\x93 Sweeping, Mopping, etc.
• General site labor-general maintenance, other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience with chemicals and/or hazardous materials is preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred but not required.
• HIGH emphasis on safety and constant safety improvement.

Required:

• Valid Driver\'s License
• High School Diploma or GED

Quals--
Must have High School Diploma or GED must have reliable method/source of transportation.
