SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for managing all aspects of the Platform Solutions Engineering department including but not limited to: project management, product development, business development, leadership of department, collaboration across CS, design services.

Project management, budgeting and resource allocation for the engineering department.

Innovation, research, and development of new products.

Supervision, training and development of engineering staff.

Business development and leadership at the management level of the Business Unit.

Company representation and interaction with professional and industry associations and committees.

Contracted design assist services.

Review and interpretation of applicable codes and standards as they relate to current or future products and services as well as adherence to current company standards.

Controls the distribution of product technical information company wide.

Qualification

B.S. Degree (M.S. preferred) in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional Engineering licensure (PE) and current NCEES Record, or the ability to establish this record required.

Ability to analyze static and dynamic structures and calculate member/material stresses.

Ability to apply engineering concepts and interpret code as necessary for the application of our products.

Familiarity with structural design, including steel, aluminum, and concrete.

Responsible for product compliance with applicable testing and code provisions.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

Demonstrated ability to lead others.

Ability to use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) System.

Ability to use design software, such as STAAD, MathCAD, Risa 3D etc.

Knowledge of construction and fabrication methods.
