Job Overview:

Bennett School of Cosmetology is seeking a Student Support Specialist to provide guidance, resources, and advocacy for students as they navigate their educational journey. This role is dedicated to fostering a positive, supportive environment where students feel empowered to overcome challenges and succeed.

Responsibilities:

-Serve as a primary support contact for students needing guidance or assistance
-Connect students with resources to support academic success, personal well-being, and career readiness
-Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where students feel heard and valued
-Assist in resolving concerns by providing mediation, mentorship, and student advocacy
-Collaborate with instructors and staff to promote student engagement and retention
-Develop initiatives that encourage personal growth and professional development
-Maintain confidential records of student interactions and resource referrals

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work (Required)
-Experience in student support, counseling, or resource coordination preferred
-Strong communication and problem-solving skills
-Ability to build trusting relationships and provide compassionate guidance
-Knowledge of student success strategies, career readiness, and personal development
