Job Description
No experience necessary. Training provided.
Duties:
- Provide substitute coverage for classroom paraeducators and residential aides- Follow supervisor's instructions- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students
- Engage students in educational and residential activities and promote active learning
- Assist students with their assignments and provide guidance as needed
- Follow behavioral program procedures and enforce school policiesRequirements:
- Possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Enjoy working with children
- Ability to be adaptable/flexible
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with students, parents, and staff membersPlease note that this is a substitute position, which means the schedule may vary depending on the needs of the school and residential settings. Hours and shifts may vary. Substitute staff are typically called on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent staff. If you enjoy working with children this is a great opportunity.
