The Connecticut Audubon Society's, Center at Fairfield Summer Camp, is a ten-week, nature-rich summer day program, for children ages 4-5. Each week of camp has a specific outdoor theme that will be the guide for the curriculum for this summer.
Responsibilities:
Experience in teaching children ages 4 to 5.
Teachers will be expected to prepare and implement curriculum, and teach on a variety of topics that allow children to experience the outdoors/nature through hands-on: activities, games, hikes, guided natureexplorations, and arts and crafts, all while fostering a sense of environmental stewardship and developing a lifelong love of nature.
Qualifications
Applicants must be over 18 years of age
Minimum two years college education
Experience working with children and/or natural history
College level course work in education and/or natural sciences
Ability to work outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions
First Aid/CPR a plus
Salary is hourly based on experience.
