Supervisor Summary: The SPMI Supervisor is responsible for the management of the intensive outpatient rental assistance and case management programs and shall ensure high quality clinical services are delivered and documented in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. The position may be called to provide direct service and to serve as a primary case manager, as needed.

  • Facilitate team meetings to ensure clients receive medically necessary services.
  • Provide individual and group supervision to team members; maintain training and supervision logs.
  • A minimum of 50% of time is dedicated to individual counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and other direct service to participants.
  • Assist Intensive Adult Manager in recruitment, hiring, and training new team membersto perform standards outlined within their performance evaluations.
  • Participate in training and meetings as assigned (rehabilitation management, utilizationreview, and another inter-agency).
  • Monitor and track workflow and day-to-day work of team members.
  • Complete multi-stage referrals for both SPMI and Rental Subsidy.
  • Maintain rental subsidy waiting pool.
  • Assign clients from rental subsidy waiting pool to case managers/SPMI clients to casemanagers.
  • Provide weekly rental subsidy grant reports to the Director of Administration.
  • Ensure quarterly reports for rental subsidy program participants are completed within specified timelines.
  • Maintain contact with Klamath Housing Authority, property management agencies, KEPRO and the Oregon Health Authority.
  • Coordinate PCA services between clients and PCAs
  • Monthly check ins with both client and PCA.
  • Enroll new PCAs as they apply.
  • Administer testing for new adult foster care staff.
  • Oversee annual adult foster care training for all adult foster care providers and staff to maintain their certification/licenses.
  • Enroll new adult foster care providers as they apply.
  • Provide weekly supervision to rental subsidy, SPMI case managers and peer support specialists assigned to the intensive adult services program.
  • Facilitate bi-monthly case management group supervision with all case managers/peer supports.
  • Provide support as needed to case managers/peer support in problem solving or resource coordination.
  • Coordinate client referrals for adult foster care services as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with ENCC for out of county adult foster care client placements or with PCI team for client placement when under civil commitment.
  • Provide psychotherapy/TIC evaluations/TIC reviews for rental subsidy/SPMI clients.
  • Attend daily and weekly clinical management program coordination meetings.
  • Maintain open communication with intensive services program managers (ACT, EASA, CBCS, CHOICE, Crisis, Respite, etc.) for the purposes of coordinating care for mutual clients.
  • Attend trainings as necessary for housing and SPMI populations.
  • Ensure timely completion of employee status change and/or payroll change forms.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or Program Directors.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervises the Rental Subsidy Case Managers and SPMI Intensive Case Managers.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization\'s policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; timecard and time off approvals, performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Supervisor Education: Must meet one of the requirements to qualify as a QMHP. QMHPs shall meet the following minimum qualifications and shall hold one of the following educational degrees:
  • Graduate degree in Psychology.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in nursing and licensed by the state of Oregon.
  • Graduate degree in social work.
  • Graduate degree in a behavioral science field.
  • Graduate degree in recreational, music or art therapy.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in occupational therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon.
Supervisor Experience: Experience to demonstrate the competencies to identify precipitating events:
  • Gather histories of mental and physical disabilities, alcohol and drug use, past mental service, and criminal justice contracts.
  • Assess family, social and work relationships; conduct a mental health examination; document a multiaxial DSM diagnosis; write and supervise a treatment plan.
  • Conduct a comprehensive Mental Health Assessment and provide individual, family and/or group therapy within the scope of their training.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Oregon driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, insurable driving record. Personal automobile insurance is required if clients are transported, or any agency business is conducted by the employee using his/her personal vehicle. If the employee is an unlicensed therapist or is not actively in the licensing process, employee must meet the requirements to become MHACBO QMHP Certified. Certification or licensure must be maintained for the length of employment.
