Responsibilities
Provide for the spiritual, emotional, religious and educational needs of patients, their families, loved ones, care givers, staff, faculty and volunteers.
Implement, oversee and evaluate the programs, plans and initiatives that provide for the spiritual, emotional, and religious educational needs of Seattle Children\xe2\x80\x99s patients, their families, staff and providers. Provide clinical supervision for Chaplains and Spiritual Care volunteers. Participate with team and director, in the development of spiritual care strategy.
Requirements
- Master of Divinity or equivalent educational degree from an accredited theological school or seminary
- Faith group endorsement
- 3-5 years chaplaincy care experience
- Experience working with children and families in a health care setting
- Ordination or commission to function in ministry or equivalent
- Complete four units of clinical pastoral education at an ACPE accredited center
Required Credentials:
- Certifications by one of the following: Association of Professional Chaplains; National Association of Catholic Chaplains, National Association of Jewish Chaplains
Preferred:
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience in pediatric setting
- Chaplaincy experience in a pediatric hospital or academic healthcare organization focusing on children, families, and staff
- Ability to communicate orally in Spanish at functional or fluent proficiency or other non-English language
- Experience working with those from various cultural, linguistic, religious and non-religious backgrounds
- Experience with research related to spiritual care and healthcare chaplaincy
Min to Max Hourly Salary
$39.24 - $58.86 /hr
Min to Max Annual Salary
$81,619.20 - $122,428.80 /yr
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children\xe2\x80\x99s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
