Job Description

An acute care hospital in Hawaii is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager, Operating Room. The position calls for an Operating Room Nurse that can demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities in managing all staff within the well-equipped 16 OR suite hospital, which also houses an additional procedure room. The Operating Room Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing approximately 80 direct reports and efficiently coordinating an average of 350-400 cases per month, encompassing an array of complex procedures, including cardiac, spine, and neurosurgical cases.

Clinical Nurse Manager Surgery Responsibilities:

• Assume a pivotal role in the management and supervision of the Operating Room staff, ensuring a seamless and well-organized workflow, coupled with the delivery of optimal patient care.
• Foster an environment of professionalism and collaboration among team members, promoting continuous growth and development. This includes collaboration with various Perioperative Departments including Pre-Op/Short Stay and PACU-Recovery Services.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to enhance surgical outcomes and overall patient satisfaction.
• Implement and adhere to the hospital\'s established policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, while also introducing and sustaining best practices.
• Employ exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills to efficiently manage resources, including staffing, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain regular and effective communication with the Director of Perioperative and Interventional Servicees, providing timely updates on departmental performance and ongoing progress.
