Overview

We are looking for a sushi helper to work with our current chefs in preparing rolls. The ideal candidate will assist in various food preparation tasks, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and safely. Duties

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients using proper knife techniques. Support chefs and kitchen staff in the daily operations of food preparation and cooking. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during all food handling processes. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods. Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for various meal services.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a culinary or food service role is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Knowledge of dietary needs or experience as a dietary aide is a plus. A passion for the food industry and commitment to providing high-quality service.
