Program Summary

Leidos is a preferred subcontractor on a large, multi-year contract that develops, integrates deploys, and sustains large collection systems. The work is extremely important to the government and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. Significant requirements include Mission Management, Operations, and Sustainment activities. The team will provide 24x7x365 support to multiple Operations Teams and will feature 1st/2nd/3rd Party Partner Engagement.

Job Summary

The Systems Engineer supports deployed customer processing systems, focusing on system operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The candidate will also support system integration, upgrade, and deployment activities.\xe2\x80\x8b The majority of the time will be spent on telecommunications signal and software engineering activities. This includes signal processing workflow management, signal data analysis, infrastructure design, maintenance, and integration work such as the configuration of virtualized environments, encryption, unique product installations and configurations. The ideal candidate will have recent, first-hand experience designing, integrating, and sustaining customer mission systems, and must have recent, first-hand experience supporting customer architecture and component development efforts.

The Systems Engineer (SE) will maintain and upgrade the customer\xe2\x80\x99s operational front-end systems, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and producing expected output data. The selected SE will serve as a Site Engineer, performing remote maintenance and refresh efforts for multiple sites. Annual travel to each site is expected. Daily interaction with partner entities, managing requirements and validating functionality of system components. The Se will provide support in the areas of systems administration, troubleshooting, loading of software packages and network configuration.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Seven (7) years experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Five (5) years of SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Must be willing to travel

Demonstrated experience using the Linux operating system, to include use of the command-line

LINUX or UNIX and/or Network administration/maintenance experience

Experience with modern telecommunication technologies

Basic troubleshooting experience

Desired Qualifications

Front-end collection systems DNR/DNI collection and dataflow, including FOP configuration Scripting experience (Bash, Shell and/or Python)

Familiarity with Apache NiFi

Basic knowledge of network protocols

Pay Range: Pay Range $78,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $162,000.00
