Job Description

This role is primarily focused on providing robust support and fostering the growth of IT systems and applications related to manufacturing and design. This encompasses a wide range of technologies, including Internet of Things (IoT), Operational Technology (OT) systems, Engineering and Quality software, among others.

• Serve as an escalation point for IT issues pertaining to Shop Floor, Quality, and Engineering technologies.
• Provide support for the maintenance and expansion of computer systems and software interfacing with shop floor equipment, including on-premises and cloud-based OT platforms, Quality and R&D systems, and equipment configuration software.
• Maintain and ensure the uptime and reliability of the networking infrastructure for manufacturing systems. This includes participating in the design, implementation, and support of network access methods for shop floor equipment.
• Support and maintain Engineering, Quality, and specialized Manufacturing software such as MDC, CAD/CAM, CMM, simulation and digital twin platforms, technical writing software, Statistical Process Control, and labeling products.
• Collaborate closely with internal IT support teams and external software support partners, as well as internal business stakeholders, to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution.
• Identify and communicate concerns, inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or potential failures within the team\'s environment to minimize downtime and support expansion.
• Respond to and thoroughly document work efforts in the ticketing system, providing clear, concise, and comprehensive information. Additionally, train IT Support resources in supporting the Manufacturing environment.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting Windows-based environments, specialized software, and possessing above-average networking expertise.
• Experience with system integration and connectivity of multiple systems, along with light to moderate database and programming skills using platforms like Java and Python/jython, are advantageous.
• Proficiency in group policies, automation scripts, FTP, and license servers.
• Prior experience with Ignition is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently while reporting on progress.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on positive and proactive interactions with internal customers.
• Capability to create and maintain technical documentation.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver\'s license, as this position may require occasional travel between our New Hampshire-based sites and participation in rotational on-call emergency support coverage.
