Systems Engineer (Intern)

Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Systems Engineering Intern to support testing and integration of complex systems. This internship offers the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world engineering problems, while learning from experienced professionals. You will work on a variety of test and integration engineering tasks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain hands-on experience in system design, integration, and testing.




Duties Include:


Assist in the design, development, and testing of system components and subsystems. Work alongside engineers to troubleshoot and resolve system issues. Contribute to improvement of current systems and processes which may include using scripts or software code to increase efficiency for testing and/or data analysis. Perform other duties as assigned or required

Requirements:

Candidate must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related degree program from an accredited college/university




Knowledge of CAD and simulation tools Experience or classroom knowledge using MATLAB or Python Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Detail oriented with a commitment to a high level of customer service Must be able to communicate effectively with engineers, customers, and business professionals

Requires ability to:

Obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance Work well in a small, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment with co-workers, management, and client Demonstrate innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills and adaptive thinking Work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential

Work Environment

Office, Lab, and field environment.


This position is expected to be performed only in the state of Alabama.
