Position DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition and Outreach (TAO) team, within Harvard Human Resources (HHR) in Central Administration, is dedicated to improving and enhancing talent acquisition (TA) efforts across Harvard University. We do so by working collaboratively across all schools and units to strengthen best practices, enhance systems performance and efficiency, develop and maintain internal and external partnerships, enhance recruiter, candidate, and manager experiences, and ensure compliance with a fair hiring and selection process. We also do so by working in close partnership and collaboration with colleagues in Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) and the HR Analytics and Reporting team.We are seeking a Talent Acquisition (TA) Project Manager to support the Modernizing Our Talent Acquisition Technologies (MTAT) project. The goal of this multi-year project is to position Harvard as a leader in the competitive talent market by reimagining Harvard\'s talent acquisition ecosystem and to redesign the systems, tools and processes used to attract, engage with, and recruit high quality and diverse candidates, as well as to provide innovative solutions to effectively manage, create operational efficiencies within, and improve experiences for all talent acquisition related workstreams and stakeholders. The TA Project Manager will report to the Managing Director of Talent Acquisition and Outreach and work with various stakeholders across the University to drive the project forward.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Lead and manage various TA-related workstreams within the MTAT project from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project and system implementation timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with the project leadership team, as well as various other key internal and external stakeholders, to understand and deliver on project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • In partnership with the Project Director, and utilizing PM tools (Smartsheet), develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, task assignments, and progress tracking
  • Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, as well as external vendors, to align project activities with organizational goals
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders and senior management
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and escalate as needed to ensure timely resolution
  • Conduct mid- and post-project reviews to evaluate outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement improvements
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in project management and incorporate into project strategies
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies throughout project execution, as applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned
