Talent Development Manager

Alyeska Resort is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Talent Development Manager to join our dynamic People & Culture team. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, this role will be instrumental in driving our talent acquisition, development, and engagement strategies. The Talent Development Manager will lead a team responsible for talent acquisition and recruitment, employee onboarding and offboarding, community engagement, and employee relations. Position Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
  • Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment process, from posting job openings to conducting interviews and making hiring decisions.
  • Establish strong relationships with external partners, including recruitment agencies and educational institutions.
  • Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:
  • Develop and manage comprehensive onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
  • Ensure a smooth offboarding process, including exit interviews and knowledge transfer.
  • Create and maintain onboarding and offboarding documentation and materials.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations and educational institutions to enhance our community engagement efforts.
  • Organize and participate in community events and activities.
  • Promote Alyeska Resort as an employer of choice within the local community.
  • Employee Relations, Grievances, Conflicts:
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers in resolving workplace conflicts and grievances.
  • Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures.
  • Conduct investigations when necessary and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Employee Conduct:
  • Promote a positive and respectful workplace culture.
  • Develop and enforce policies related to employee conduct and behavior.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition and recruitment, ideally in a hospitality or resort environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Innovative and strategic thinking in talent development and engagement.
  • Experience with HRIS and recruitment software. Experience with UltiPro/UKG and TalentNest preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when dealing with sensitive employee matters.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Compensation: Starting annual salary of $70,000. Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
